Tubular Chain Conveyor vs Screw Conveyor
A tubular chain conveyor uses discs carried by a chain.

Distinguish the movement
A tubular chain conveyor uses discs carried by a chain. A screw conveyor uses a rotating helical flight. Their enclosed appearance does not make their mechanisms or wear parts interchangeable.
Compare the route and service duty
A chain circuit must account for bends, its return path, tension and access to discs. A screw needs an inlet-loading assessment, supports, seals and a calculation for inclination. Both require evaluation of product damage, material deposits and cleaning. Catalog rates measured on different materials or expressed in different units cannot establish which is preferable.
Prepare a comparable inquiry
Give both suppliers the same material properties, route, rate, duty cycle and product-quality criteria. Ask what happens at interrupted feed and restart. Define residue limits for changeover, then trial the actual material where needed. Compare the complete quoted scope and maintenance procedure rather than the drive power or name alone.
