Feeding Equipment

Dust Free Feeding Station

Empty powder bags into a contained receiving hopper with a dust free feeding station and the appropriate dust extraction connection.

Production Problems It Solves

Dust escaping as bags are opened

Capture airborne powder near the emptying point rather than allowing it to disperse across the work area.

Bags tipped directly into an open process vessel

A supported receiving station gives operators a defined place to open and discharge bags.

Where It Fits in Your Plant

Ingredient charging

Empty flour, starch or mineral additive bags upstream of a sifter, screw conveyor or mixer. Contact surfaces and access should suit recipe changes.

Chemical powder intake

Contain compatible dusty solids during bag emptying. Capture depends on airflow, filters and operator practice; the product name does not mean zero emissions or automatic explosion protection.

How the Dust Free Feeding Station Works

An operator introduces material above a hopper or screen while a collection arrangement draws displaced air toward filters. A suitable discharge transfers the collected ingredient into the next process.

Selection Factors

  • Capture point: hood opening, extraction airflow and filter condition affect dust collection at the bag.
  • Discharge: a screw, vacuum pickup or valve must suit the material leaving the hopper.
  • Cleaning: product-contact surfaces, retained powder and filter access matter when ingredients change.

Common Issues & Checks

  • Dust escaping at the opening: inspect extraction operation, clogged filters and excessive open area.
  • Hopper bridging: inspect cohesive powder buildup and the downstream feeder inlet; dust extraction does not correct a blocked discharge.

Frequently asked questions

How is dust collected at the loading point?

Fan-assisted filters draw displaced air from the bag-emptying area. Capture depends on airflow, filter condition and the loading method; dust hazards require a site-specific assessment.
