How to Choose a Vibrating Screen
Compare screen motion, mesh openings and material properties to select equipment for the required size separation.

Start with the separation decision
A vibrating screen inquiry should identify the wanted fraction and the unwanted material. Measure the feed grading, moisture and loose bulk density, then state the target aperture and acceptable contamination. Throughput is meaningful only alongside these conditions. A particle population concentrated near the aperture is more difficult than an equally heavy feed with clearly separated sizes.
Compare motion and layout
A linear deck provides a defined travel direction and several discharge interfaces. A rotary circular screen can suit compact powder stations. A tumbler or gyratory arrangement changes residence and spreading. Ultrasound addresses a particular mesh-blinding problem; it is not a general substitute for choosing the correct screening duty. Compare alternatives using the same sample and output criteria.
Specify a meaningful trial
Weigh input and every output over the same stable period. Measure the grading of accepted product and retained fractions, inspect the screen after operation, and record settings. Agree cleaning and screen-change access before choosing a machine. A brief demonstration of particle movement cannot establish sustained separation performance.
