Screening Equipment

High Frequency Vibrating Screen

Screen fine solids and suitable liquid suspensions with a high frequency vibrating screen using a defined mesh opening.

Production Problems It Solves

Fine solids needing repeated mesh contact

Vibratory excitation presents particles to the openings while separating accepted and retained streams.

Coarse particles remaining in a liquid suspension

A mesh barrier retains particles larger than the opening before the accepted suspension is collected.

Where It Fits in Your Plant

Ceramic slurry preparation

Remove oversized particles from a suitable suspension before its next processing step. Solids concentration and viscosity govern drainage.

Fine mineral screening

Separate oversized particles from compatible fine material. Mechanical excitation and ultrasonic mesh cleaning are different systems; neither changes the actual aperture of the installed mesh.

How the High Frequency Vibrating Screen Works

Vibratory excitation moves material against the circular mesh. Fine particles or liquid pass through the openings while oversize remains on the screening surface. The feed concentration, aperture, drive setting and discharge arrangement affect sustained separation.

Selection Factors

  • Feed condition: dry powder and liquid slurry impose different loading and drainage requirements.
  • Mesh condition: effective open area falls as fine particles coat or lodge in the openings.
  • Drive specification: excitation frequency, amplitude and ultrasonic power are different quantities and must not be used interchangeably.

Applications & Suitable Materials

Mineral fines

Material form
Fine mineral particles
Typical application
Separate particles around the target aperture
Handling considerations
Moisture, feed distribution and screen medium

Fine sand

Material form
Small mineral grains
Typical application
Grade the feed into selected size fractions
Handling considerations
Abrasion and near-size content

Mineral slurry

Material form
Suspended mineral particles
Typical application
Separate retained solids from passing slurry
Handling considerations
The wet-duty arrangement and solids loading

Common Issues & Checks

  • Declining passage: inspect mesh deposits and changes in feed concentration.
  • Liquid carryover with retained solids: inspect feed rate and lower-outlet restrictions before altering drive settings.

Frequently asked questions

How does high-frequency screening differ from ultrasonic screening?

Ultrasonic screening uses an additional generator and transducer coupled to the mesh. A vibratory screen uses its mechanical drive to present material to the openings.
