Production Problems It Solves

Feed and discharge offset as well as separated in height

The Z route connects both horizontal distances and the lift in one bucket circuit.

Several handovers between conveyors

Buckets carry the material through the route, reducing the number of separate loading transfers.

Where It Fits in Your Plant

Packing-machine supply

Lift rice, seeds or suitable granules from a low feed point to an elevated weighing or packaging hopper.

Pellet transfer

Move free-flowing pellets around a fixed production layout. Even loading prevents spillage across bucket joints; sticky material can remain in buckets and needs a suitable discharge and cleaning arrangement.

How the Z Type Bucket Elevator Works

Buckets travel around a guided circuit. The feeding point loads them on a horizontal section, and the selected discharge arrangement empties them after elevation. Pivoting buckets and joints require model-specific inspection and maintenance.

Selection Factors

  • Route dimensions: the lower span, lift and upper span determine the bucket circuit and support positions.
  • Loading: feed must enter the buckets evenly without piling material across bucket joints.
  • Discharge: outlet position and bucket-emptying arrangement determine where the product leaves the circuit.

Common Issues & Checks

  • Spillage near the inlet: inspect bucket loading, feed timing and alignment.
  • Residual product in buckets: inspect the discharge mechanism and sticky deposits after stopping and isolating the elevator.

Frequently asked questions

How does a Z-type elevator differ from a straight vertical elevator?

Its bucket circuit includes lower and upper horizontal sections as well as the lift. Loading, joints and discharge positions follow that route.
